1. What do you see? Describe what is happening.
I see a girl in a field and she appears to be picking vegetables because there is a basket
with green beans in them.

2. What Colors, Shapes, and Lines?
I see green, brown, blue, white, black, and tan.
I see ovals, squares and triangles.
I see many straight, diagonal, and vertical lines.

3. Write down 5 expressive words that relate to the image.
Alone, Diligence, Chore, Drudge, Toil.

4. Interpret the photograph. What is the meaning of this image?
I think this photo shows a girl who is probably lives on a farm and she has to go pick
vegetables or food for her family.

5. How does this image use the Rules of Composition?
The Rule of Thirds: There really isn't a horizontal line. The basket behind the girl is in a
money spot.
Simplicity: The leaves make the background clear and uncomplicated. The girl and the
basket are the points of interest.

Actual and Implied Lines: The stems from the bushes of leaves make implied vertical and
diagonal lines.
