Daily Image 2/24/11

1. What do you see? Describe what is happening.
I see a girl laying on the ground next to a puddle looking at the reflection of the sky in the puddle.

I see blue, green, white, cream, gray, black, and tan.
I see squares, triangles. and ovals.
I see many curved and straight, horizontal lines.

3. Write down 5 expressive words that relate to the image.
Artistry, Imagination, Pretend, Inspiration, Imagery.

4. Interpret the photograph. What is the meaning of this image?
I think the girl in the photograph is laying down next to the puddle with the reflection of the sky to imagine herself in the sky, as if she were flying.

5. How does this image use the Rules of composition?
The Rule of Thirds: The horizon line in the image is where the puddle meets the ground. The girl isn't in the money spots.

Simplicity: The ground makes the background clear and uncomplicated. The girl laying on the ground is the point of interest.

Actual and Implied Lines: The girl's body makes an implied horizontal line.
