Symmetry and Asymmetry









Symmetry is when a photograph has an implied line going vertically down the middle, and on both sides of the line the photograph is the same or alike. The photography should look proportionally balanced. Examples of symmetry are the three photographs above.

























Asymmetry is when a photograph still has an implied vertical line going down the middle, but the photograph on both sides are not the same, they just take up the same amount of space. It has lack of proportion. Examples of asymmetry are the three photographs above.
